AGRITECHNICA, Landini completes the updating of its product ranges
A product range completely updated in all power brackets. It is with the last novelties presented at the Hannover Fair that Landini completes the renovation process started two years ago on the relevant tractor ranges. After the Powermondial launching, the Mistral, Alpine, and Crawler tractors restyling, the completion of the Landpower range and the introduction of the Technofarm series into the “utility” segment, the novelties being presented concern the average-high power bracket. In fact, a new “5” series has been launched whilst the Powermaster and Powermax ranges have been combined into the new “7” series. Innovations making the whole Landini tractor range more versatile and in line with today’s most demanding market requirements.
But novelties are not limited to the above . Also the Rex series, one of the most successful Landini ranges, has been re-vamped to become a different machine, not only in terms of design, but also to provide enhanced performance as a result of a new specialization concept aimed at meeting the requirements of an increasingly professional, modern, and demanding agriculture.
In addition, also the Landini telescopic Powerlift has been re-vamped and powered by a new engine. A tractor that has gained an important market share thanks to its versatility features that make it suitable for industrial, agricultural and forestry applications.
NEW PRODUCT SERIES/MODEL NAMES
Landini introduces new tractor naming criteria making it possible to identify range, model and version in a more immediate and simpler way.
Every tractor of the Landini product ranges will in fact be featured by three digits: X-YYY Z.
X = The first figure (3-4-5-6-7) stands for the family the tractors belongs to according to the relevant power bracket.
YYY= The digit figure stands for the approximate tractor ISO power
Z= The third digit is represented by a letter identifying the specific sub-family in the same tractor range, according to tractor make-up.
The new criteria adopted on the new ranges being presented at the Agritechnica Exhibition will be used also for all future ranges.
NEW “7” SERIES
The new tractor family has been completely redesigned and conceived to replace the Powermaster and Powermax series and is now presented with a new look both at cab and hood level. The range, consisting of 6 models with power ratings ranging from 141 to 225 HP, offers a decidedly greater versatility. In fact, it comes with a choice of three versions per model: TECHNO (transmission with mechanical range shifting), COMFORT and FULL TRONIC (transmissions electronically controlled via a joystick integrated into the right hand console and multi-function armrest)
Utmost driving comfort is guaranteed by a rugged cast steel chassis and suspended engine providing less vibrations and reduced noise levels and by an independent wheel front suspension (available as an option) ensuring a higher degree of stability and excellent road-holding.
NEW 5 SERIES
The new 5 series is midway between the Powerfarm range, of which it inherits the cab and the wheel base, and the more structured Powermondial series featuring a 3 range powershift transmission, epicyclic final drives and power lift now available also in the electronic version.
The front and rear field lights as well as the front grille have been newly conceived and feature a superb new look. The modular and versatile transmission is available with 4 synchronized gears and 3 mechanical speed ranges with hydraulically controlled oil-bath multi-plate PTO as a basic version.
The entry level 12FWD+12RV is available on both 30 km/h and 40 Km/h Eco versions and is combined with an intermediate 24FWD+12RV version equipped with mechanical reverse power shuttle and overdrive.
A substantial novelty is represented by the combination of hydraulic reverse power shuttle with the 3-shift H-M-L option (High-Medium Low), which triples the gears of the basic transmission to achieve 36FWD+12RV speeds. A creeper is available as an option for all versions. A Declutch system allows the operator to change mechanical gears by simply depressing the button placed on the gear shift lever. The Declutch system is engaged by an electronic control unit, the same one controlling the hydraulic reverse power shuttle, the HML gearbox and the PTO. The oil bath multi-plate PTO comes with a choice of two or three speeds: 540, 540 ECO and 1000 rpm according to the requested version..
The mechanical power lift is equipped with draft control function on the lower links.
The four models feature also new engines: the “80” model is fitted with an aspirated engine, the “90” with a turbocharged engine, and both 100 and 110 versions are powered by a turbo aftercooler engine.
REX, A COMPLETE RESTYLING
The F, GE, and GT versions of the Rex series have been completely renovated to provide ultimate performance, improved ergonomics and maximum comfort. The renovation features a new look with newly designed cab roof and hood. The new range models feature a more modern and advanced hydraulic system aimed at meeting specialistic market demands in an increasingly more professional way. An improved PTO engagement, a more precise adjustment of power lift sensitivity, the availability of a front and rear PTO, as well as the new hydraulic options available, underscore the evolution of this range. A reduced steering radius further enhances performance and productivity where space is at a premium. Maximum driving comfort is also ensured by a new and more ergonomic control layout making the cockpit decidedly more comfortable and spacious.
The new Rex series are also powered by new turbo aftercooler engines featuring avant-garde technical solutions and enhanced performance. All models are equipped with hydraulic transmissions, except the techno versions of 80-85 and 90 models which are fitted with mechanical transmissions.
POWERLIFT: NEW TIER 3 ENGINE
The Landini telescopic handler stands for high performance and power. The Powerlift is equipped with the last generation 4-cylinder, 4400 cc Tier 3-compliant SISU diesel engine. Besides being even more efficient, cost effective and environment-friendly the new engine can deliver a power ratings of 147 HP with 110 HP available at the PTO. The cooling system has also been improved, thus making the telescopic handler increasingly performing.
All other Powerlift features remain unchanged. With 3 patents, a telescopic boom providing a maximum lift height of 9 metres and a loading capacity of 2850 kg the Powerlift incorporates the functions of a telescopic handler, farm tractor and forestry machine into a single vehicle..
NEW AFTERCOOLER TURBO ENGINES
Argo Tractors looks ahead even when it comes to engine innovation. In fact, the Fabbrico manufacturing concern has cut into production new turbo aftercooler Perkins engines to be fitted on the relevant product ranges. As already done for the Powermondial series, these engines are now being used also on the new Rex models and during next year they will also be fitted on other tractor ranges. Featured by a perfect fuel-to-air mix ratio, the new engines ensure better combustion, enhanced efficiency thus providing outstanding performance and torque back up at lower running costs.
