ARGO TEAM, A NEW TRACTOR A NEW ACHIEVEMENT
A “red livery” victory. Once again the Argo Team has won the highest step on the podium for as many as 6 times running in the Pro-Stock category. This time the glorious title of Italian Champion at the Tractor Pulling Championship has been awarded to the Red Fox, the new protagonist of 2009.
A tractor developed at Argo Tractors, being the result of the technician’s skill within Fabbrico factories, that has already been tested in various different competition tracks in Europe and improved, in terms of reliability and performance, during the championship itself.
The Red Fox, equipped with an 8300 cc IHC 466 engine developing almost 1500 HP, and piloted by Elvio Moretti, has gained as much as 6 victories out of 9 competitions, by proving the real value of technology even when moved from the factory to the competition tracks.
“The Red Fox, explained Mr Franco Paterlini, manager of Argo Team, is a machine that has started off on the right foot. Even if this has been its first approach on the Italian competition tracks, it has proven great reliability and competitiveness qualities since the very beginning. The rest has been done by the Argo Team, who, during the whole championship, has managed to enhance performances to the utmost”.
The outcome proves how quality and technological development are fundamental elements in achieving the best results in any field, from farming activities to competition tracks..
“The Red Fox, continued Mr. Paterlini, is the result of the development of a traditional tractor whose power is taken from the original 180 HP to almost 1500 HP and 6000 rpm, a power that has to be transmitted to the soil as much as possible.. Without the required technological adjustments, in fact, the power alone counts for nothing. The technology and professionalism featuring the Fabbrico brand has made it possible, since the very beginning, to achieve the podium target without having to pay the reckoning of inexperience being generally suffered when a new tractor is developed”.
However, as everybody knows, the Tractor Pulling is a discipline where the word “stability” is totally unknown and, as such, the Red Fox, as it happens for the new “Bufalo”, arrived 4th at the championship, is constantly subject to operating improvements and optimization by the Argo Team.
“The Tractor Pulling, concludes Mr. Paterlini, is a discipline absorbing an ever increasing number of fans so much so that at the next Motor Show in Bologna a dedicated exhibition area will be reserved to this category. One of the goals the Red Fox is aiming at for the future is the one of taking part in the European Championship. For this reason the Argo Team is working hard to have the machine achieve the competitive level required to take up such a challenge”.
Argo Tractors, with its headquarters in Fabbrico (RE), manufactures tractors under the Landini and McCormick brands and belongs to the Argo Industrial Group.
The Tractor Manufacturing Division of the Argo Group has tripled its production volumes in little more than 10 years, with a remarkable growth in concrete results: 2,000 employees, 4 plants, 27 product ranges, 8 business branches in the world and 130 foreign importers.
Statistics that have allowed the Landini and McCormick brands to achieve a significant standing on the domestic tractor market and to represent one of the most important international players, thus confirming the value of a successful group strategy.
Argo Tractors’ strength lies in belonging to a great group: several different enterprises that are all part of a single project: integrated resources and specialization are the mainstays on which the Argo Group bases its manufacturing and business strategy, with six brands, plants in Italy, France and Germany plus an unwavering and exclusive industrial vocation.
