The Landini brand enters the Italian Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest

Landini, the historical tractor brand founded in 1884 and owned by the Argo Tractors group, has been officially entered in the Italian Register of Historical Trademarks of National Interest. The confirmation came from the Italian Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy following a process initiated by the company.
This prestigious recognition, which is open to companies that have been in operation for at least 50 years, enhances the long tradition and cultural identity of the Landini brand which is a symbol of Italian industrial history and evolution.
Historical Trademarks are a key demonstration of Italian creativity and entrepreneurship as well as a cornerstone of the brand’s image worldwide; they represent a recognition that conveys a culture composed of talent, skills, history, organisation and a unique and distinctive identity model. In this context, Landini has shown that it meets all the requirements, confirming its status as an essential part of Made in Italy.
The year 2024 marked Landini’s 140th anniversary, an adventure that began with the founding of Officine Landini Fabbrico, from the town of the same name in the province of Reggio Emilia, Italy that today is home to the headquarters of Argo Tractors SpA.
“This recognition is a source of great pride for the Argo Tractors group and for all those who, with passion and dedication, have written and still write the history of Landini brand today”, said Cavaliere del Lavoro (Order of Merit for Labour) Valerio Morra, President of Argo Tractors -. “Entering the Italian Register of Historical Trademarks represents an important step in the protection and enhancement of our industrial and cultural heritage. We are increasingly proud to represent Made in Italy around the world, expanding our international presence with a professional and well-structured commercial network. Innovation, which is at the heart of our business, together with a passion for agricultural mechanisation, is the driving force behind the inspiration and guidance we use to design state-of-the-art tractors. Thanks to its Research & Development department, Argo Tractors will continue to invest in innovation, quality and sustainability – keeping alive the pioneering spirit that has distinguished Landini since its origins – to address future challenges and support the growth of the sector”.
Since 2021, the multinational company based in Emilia has also become part of the Motor Valley, an association that represents that area in northern Italy famous throughout the world for its mechatronic manufacturing and for being home to the most prestigious automotive brands.
“Registration allows the Landini brand to be promoted and safeguarded, guaranteeing increased protection and enhancement with respect to the market and competition, strengthening the link with the territory and the roots of the Italian manufacturing tradition”, concludes Cav. Valerio Morra.
