ARGO hitting the target at NAMPO!

With a record-breaking 86 000 visitors over the four days, NAMPO 2024 provided the ideal opportunity for showcasing Argo’s latest agricultural equipment and implements.

With an extensive product line, Argo proudly exhibited the latest range of tractors, including the Landini Powerfarm, Landpower, and 7 Series, as well as the Landini 8-310 models, McCormick X7 and X8, all designed to meet diverse agricultural needs.  Even though there were no new models on display this year, the models that were released last year still attracted the attention from potential clients. “Nampo gives us the ideal opportunity to connect with a variety of current and prospective clients at one venue. We changed our display somewhat this year and with this new lay-out we were able to create the opportunity for farmers to better view the bigger tractors,” said Juanita Pretorius, Distribution Development Manager, ARGO INDUSTRIAL.

“NAMPO is an important exhibition and discussion forum where ideas and innovations in the agricultural sector are exchanged. It acts as the window for agriculture in South Africa where farmers and input suppliers can meet and discuss various production and input aspects in farming. With our available mechanisation and information technology,  we were able to build on the NAMPO 3034 theme Agriculture in a Digital Age” and show how and where we fit in supporting producers to farm productively and sustainably,” Pretorius pointed out.

“We not only want to establish ourselves as the preferred supplier for mechanisation and technology, but we want to base that reputation on a solid base of excellent client relationships and an outstanding service record. We wish to work closely with farmers and provide suitable mechanisation solutions and offer the best service possible,” she said.

Visitors could not only see the company’s commitment to quality and innovation in the tractor models, but also have a look at the latest equipment that included rotary tillers, power harrows, mulchers, precision planters, and seed drills designed to improve efficiency and sustainability in any farming operation.

During NAMPO, Argo offered op to 0% interest finance options as well as a 2 years/2 400hours warranty  and according to Pretorius, the special deal attracted potential buyers to the stand and the team received many enquiries, some of which resulted in tractor sales.  “Our clients were well supported and assisted by our dealer network representatives and staff, and we are confident that most of the follow-up actions will also end with a new tractor on-farm.”

During the week ARGO  gave away two pedal tractors daily. “We were encouraged about the amount of daily entries and even surprised to have so many entrants join us at 14:00 every day for the duration of the NAMPO show to be part of the live draw. The aim of the competition was to reward brand loyal clients and we hope that the young generation who are now pedalling around the farm yard will visit us in a couple of years to purchase a brand new Landini or McCormick tractor.”

She also confirmed that the record number of NAMPO visitors also resulted in more visitors to the ARGO exhibition. “A great deal of planning and work goes into an exhibiting such as the one at NAMPO and having a responsive and supportive dealer network really made it a worthwhile week.  This platform provided by ARGO offered a great opportunity for the dealers to network and optimise possible sales.”

“South African farmers are increasingly looking for modern technologies and digital platforms that can contribute towards efficiency, productivity, sustainability, and prosperity and we were able to show that we are ready to support our farmers with our equipment.”
